Welcome back. We're now on day three of appreciation. I'm Sean Fargo. When was the last time you stopped to express to your partner or loved one how much you appreciate them? Really expressing just how amazing and great they are and all that you love about them.
Not just for what they do for you, but also for who they are as a person. Expressing appreciation is key to building a healthy relationship with a partner or loved one, and the good news is that it's never too late to express your genuine appreciation. Let's practice this a little bit, first by finding a comfortable posture.
Just checking in with the body, dropping the shoulders and relaxing the belly, softening the muscles of the face and the hands. We're just gonna do a quick exercise on expressing appreciation. So, imagine yourself having a conversation with your partner or your loved one, and see if you can imagine sharing eye contact and paying full attention when they're talking.
Imagine yourself saying thank you for all the little things about them, like maybe when they bring you a cup of tea or the way that they treat others. Maybe for the beauty of their smile and all the ways that they express love to others. Imagine giving a word of thanks to them, maybe even just a little wink or a high five to celebrate their small victories.
Maybe expressing that you notice the everyday things that they do, like the little chores around the house. I really appreciate you taking the trash out every week. Or, darling, I love how you make the bed. It feels so special when I get in it at night.
And imagine expressing what you love about their unique qualities. Or complimenting how great your partner looks wearing something, rather than complimenting the thing that they're wearing. Just feeling into what it's like to express appreciation.
So, whether you have relationship problems or maybe you're taking each other for granted or you're coasting in your relationship with a loved one, see if you can take time for expressing appreciation. This can make a big difference in building healthy relationship with others, and it can bring you back to the essence of why they're so important to you in the first place, and that is love. Thanks again for joining me today.
I look forward to being with you again tomorrow for our next session on day four of appreciation.
