Mindfulnessexercises.com. Your 28-day mindfulness challenge. Day 12, simply stopping. Let's begin by taking a moment to allow your body to settle in a comfortable and relaxed position. You can close your eyes or look downward to limit visual distractions as you soften your belly, drop your shoulders, and relax your jaw and the muscles in your face.
Today, we will practice simply stopping. Begin by taking a full breath in and a long breath out. And notice what it's like to just stop, to simply be still and present in the moment. You might notice thoughts or bodily sensations, sounds.
Just noticing what it's like to be alive in just this moment. Simply stopping. Each time you find your mind somewhere else, you can play with inviting this sense of stopping. To simply be still and present in this moment.
Just noticing whatever happens. Being present and alert. Inviting a sense of simply being here now. Let's continue practicing like this for a little while. Breathing in, breathing out. Simply stopping.
