After work, as you make your journey back home, start by simply noticing any strong sensations in your body, like any currents of strong emotions or physical tension. Just bringing non-judgmental awareness to the sensations in your body. Even if it feels stressful, we're bringing this non-judgmental awareness to the sensations in our belly, shoulders, and head. Simply noticing without judgment. Now see if you can soften around these areas of stress, physically softening around these areas. Taking deep breaths, relaxing the muscles, loosening your jaw, maybe even cracking a smile. Just physically relaxing around these areas of tension in the body. Relaxing the belly, taking deeper and deeper breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth. Just relaxing around the areas of tension to invite more ease and spaciousness in your body. Noticing your belly move up and down as you breathe in and out. Letting your workday move behind you and your personal life, with all of its beauty and care, come fuller into focus. Bringing this quality of non-judgmental awareness, of relaxation, and presence to your loved ones and to your friends as you make your way back home.
