So let's start a mindfulness exercise on befriending anxiety by finding a posture that feels relaxed and alert. Taking a deep breath or two as you invite ease into the body and the mind. Can be standing, sitting, or lying down. But close your eyes or look downward just to limit visual distractions and breathe naturally. And sense into the body and the mind for any tension or tightness that might be there. Could be a sense of worry or anxiety. And just seeing if you can sense into it a little bit on a physical or energetic level. Notice whether your mind wants to move away from it or be overwhelmed by it. And see if you can relax from a short distance and observe it with as much ease and courage as possible. Just noticing the energy of tension or worry from a distance and allow it to simply be. Not pushing it away or pulling it towards you. You're simply observing it and allowing it to move on its own with a sense of allowance. The kind of allowance that you would give a really good friend. Observing, connected, but from a slight distance. Just observing changing nature of this energy. Excellent. Well done.
